The full set coprises a Grade A quality Solid Teak Ovaldining table wich ts 1.8 meters long when extended and a set of 6 solid Stacking chairs. The table is a magnificent piece of craftsmanship. The high quality teak table top is over an inch thick! Overall dimenstions length 1.8 meters (6 feet). Width 0.9 meter ( 3 feet ).
The extenstion leaf neatly folds under the table when not in use by way of brass hinges.

We only import Grade A quality teak. Our furniture is made from seasoned kiln dried teak that is then finely sanded. All our teak furniture has the indonesian BRIK certificate, stating that the product is made from teak from sustainable forists.
Top quality teak is expensive because it's in high demand and requiers tedious processing. Teak trees are aged 30 to 50 years before being felled. then the trees are dried in a kiln for eight months until most of the moisture is removed, and sliced into lumber.
Your first clue is often price. As with most things in file, the better the productm the bigger the price tag.
High-quality teak is heavy, with a smooth grain and no knots or small pieces glued together. Lesser-quality teak furniture is apt to be lightweight, knotted and held together with metal screws and bolts.
Although the cost of good teak furniture can be daunting at first, you have to think of it as an investment.
Quality teak furniture is a bargain over a lifetime.
Outdoor furniture experts offer the following tips when shopping for quality teak furniture:
2. check to see how big of a gap there is between the slats. Better furniture will have a smaller gap (approximately ½ inch) compaired to 2-inch gaps between the slats in lower-grade furniture.
3. Look for a smooth grain. Hardwood teak won't be streaked. The grain will be nice and consistent.

5. The best teak furniture uses moisture and tenon joinery with dowel inserts (a mortise is a squared hole and a tenon is a squared finger that fits into the mortise).
6. Look for teak that has been kiln-dried to just 12% - 16% moisture.
7. look for furniture that has a smooth, silky sanded finish.
BUYING CHEAP UNEVEN COLOURED SAPWOOD FROM UNSUSTAINABLE FORESTS IS HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT?
Due to the superior quality and close grain of our teak there is no need to oil our furniture. In time the wood will mellow to a beautiful silver/gray colour, however a regular application of teak oil will preserve the darker 'as new' colour if you prefer.
